Silk warp

I have found that using wool as the warp is not strong enough (or maybe it is my too vigorous beating?) so I am using some silk hoping it will prove more resilient.

And it has.

Now I needed to see how the combination of wool weft & silk warp will dye up.

Three bundles went into the pot a few days ago.

The lemon scented gum is the larger brown imprint.

There is this delicious old floor loom for sale locally. Maybe……..
Will it fit in the back of the car? A bit ambitious?

    • ah yes, well, the garden’s overgrown, the children are hungry, the house needs a good clean and our clothes all need a wash…………
