2 Failed/Abandoned Projects. 1 New Jacket.

Rummaging around earlier in the week I found 3 pieces of blanketing. It all looked to be the same sort of stuff. Two of the pieces had half finished embroideries on them (not mine. My embroidery days are long gone…).

So given my recent excitement over dyeing with wool. I cobbled together a simple jacket. Did some stitching and added 2 pockets. (one of my greatest irritations is the lack of pockets on women’s clothing!).

Here is how it started.

And here is how it finished up! I am quite pleased with the result.

  1. Would you believe it was the photo of the stitching that attracted me to this post? It adds an extra dimension to the fabric … love the jacket and the beautiful solution you found in salvaging these discarded pieces! =D
